Design Alchemy is brought to you by Graphic Design Arnhem (GDA), a four year bachelor program in graphic design at ArtEZ University of the Arts, location: Arnhem (The Netherlands). All guest have some kind of connection to the department; they are (guest) teachers, lecturers, alumni or just part of our extended family. Each episode is hosted by Hendrik-Jan Grievink who has been teaching at GDA since 2010.

Remco van Bladel talks about the transformation of his practice as a more-or-less traditional graphic designer primarily known for his book designs, to a designer of information systems, ‘slow A.I.’, design education and what he calls ‘archival consciousness’.
